What if extra terrestrials existed?

From time immemorial it has been brought to our knowledge that life exist on our planet ‘Earth’. Humans are the only species who has the ability to live and die but just for once assume that what if inter planetary societies existed? In the late twentieth century, scientists converged upon the basic idea of scanning the sky and ‘listening’ for non-random patterns of electromagnetic emissions such as radio or television waves in order to detect another possible civilisation somewhere else in the universe. For once think, are we the only set of intellectually developed species around? Maybe we have our cosmic friends out there on some other planet? Perhaps, that is just a strange apprehension but what if it is true and we are yet to discover them and we have always wondered are they there? and ‘What if extra terrestrials existed‘? Imagine a world in which they were also there? I feel more than enemies or a threat to us, wouldn’t they be friends? If we are so keen on knowing about them; they must also be equally keen? They might have special powers to cure the uncured pain and diseases of humans of any kind like mental or physical handicap, blindness, deafness. It might be so that they do not have hospitals the way we have and they are immortal. They might not be as slimy and weird a creature as they are projected in millions of films like ET, etc. They may relate to our humane feelings, they might have unique devices to talk to each other and if you have a green monochrome monitor and four obsolete 5-1/2″ floppy drives, you can make a device with which you can communicate with not aliens I feel that’s a rude way of addressing someone unlike us maybe our ‘mates from the other planets’. They might be breathing nitrogen and not oxygen like us or they might not have a heart or a lung or red and white blood cells. Isn’t it fascinating?

Another interesting thing associated to this is that: The SETI ‘Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence’ whose mission is to explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe. The SETI institute is a private, non-profit organisation dedicated to scientific research, education and public outreach. Their current understanding of life’s origin on Earth suggests that given a suitable environment and sufficient time, life will develop on other planets. Whether evolution will give rise to intelligent, technological civilisations is open to speculation. However, such a civilisation could be detected across interstellar distances, and may actually offer our best opportunity for discovering extraterrestrial life in the near future. So, according to my comprehension, there are great possibilities that they might just ‘exist’. That excites me to the core. I wonder how will they be. I would really want to travel to their planet also. It just might be a better world with them. Some of the SETI-related efforts include Project Orion, the Microwave Observing Project, the High Resolution Microwave Survey, and Toward Other Planetary Systems. Astrobiology is indeed an interesting field! In one of my school course books an alien called aurigae existed. The more I read about him I wished I could have actually in reality known him and I still wish the same. I wish SETI achieves success as they continue in their mission to find inter planetary societies but what if they are a threat to us. Will we have to come up with certain devices to tackle them or will we have to get some superheroes? What will be the fate of this world be if these existed? So, what do you think how would the world be, if ETs existed?

Climate change: A not so desired change

SpaceandEarth-tw2012

From the birth of earth till today when it is almost 4.54 billion years so many things have changed at such a drastic rate for the worse. It might be physical or demographic for that matter. Mother earth’s health is deteriorating as each day is passing. It’s actually hilarious to know how we refer earth to as our mother and us being it’s children when we are doing worse than what enemies would have done with our ‘mother’. How we take her for granted, make claims on her and on top of everything we are so thankless and ignorant least realising that how much we are harming the one who has loved us so much by giving us so many things to make our life much more comfortable and easier. We exploit her and hurt with the bruises which she makes sure are unseen for most of the time that is why such are the conditions. ‘Here she is, all mine, trying her best to give me all she can. How could I ever hurt her? But I didn’t understand then. That I could hurt somebody so badly she would never recover. That a person can, just by living, damage another human being beyond repair’ –Haruki Murakami. Don’t we all agree with these lines of wisdom. Just our staying alive has hurt someone to such an extent where recovery is so impossible. It’s actually amazing that to what extent we can hurt someone for our pleasure and wants and there can be no better example of this kind of sin than our very own planet – The earth. Scientifically, climate change is a long-term shift in the climate of a specific location, region or planet.

The shift is measured by changes in features associated with average weather, such as temperature, wind patterns and precipitation but another question which is very amusing is that what is it that we are doing that is leading to this change and where do we come in the picture. Humans have had a great hand in the change of climate due to their overwhelming desire for more they indulge in industrial activities which are believed to be adding to the naturally present green house gases. Other actions, include deforestation i.e. with the growth of industrial activities there has been worldwide deforestation. As part of the photosynthetic process, trees extract carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen back to the atmosphere, with deforestation the number of trees available to take in CO2 from the atmosphere has greatly reduced, leading to more available CO2 which is not a very good sign and also trees are the much needed sinks, as they take in CO2 which is harmful for our health.

Then, during agricultural practices, methane gas is produced when bacteria decomposes organic matter. Also, fossil fuels are widely used to power our modern day engines and locomotives. The burning of coals, natural gas and oil yields most of the energy which is used to produce electricity, heat houses, run automobiles and power factories also harm the environment and contribute in the change of climate establishments and industries used to use chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in refrigeration systems, and CFCs in fire suppression systems and manufacturing processes all harm the environment.

As a result, the global sea level could rise due to several factors including melting ice and glaciers.

Rising sea levels could damage coastal regions through flooding and erosion.

The climate of various regions could change too quickly for many plant and animal species to adjust. Harsh weather conditions, such as heat waves and droughts, could also happen more often and more severely. In addition, there is a possibility that a number of larger cities could witness a significant rise in the number of unbearable hot days.

Air pollution would gradually increase. Climate change could also affect our health and well-being. As a consequence children and the elderly people can suffer from respiratory problems and are at greatest risk of health effects. Increases in pollens due to warmer temperatures could also cause respiratory problems such as asthma for some people.

Climate change affects the entire global village. Developed and developing countries are working together to come up with resolutions to combat this issue of climate change. In June 1992, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) was signed by 154 countries that agreed to stabilise the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere at levels that won’t cause harm. In December 1997, in Kyoto, Japan, 160 nations including India committed to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, as part of an international agreement on climate change called the Kyoto Protocol. Countries like Australia and USA are still not members of this initiative but they should put a foot forward and be a part of this protocol as being crucial economies of the world. As I always say, no matter what the government does, it is the people on whom the final decision rests. ‘I not you is the solution’. You as an individual have to start now, this minute, wake up readers before you loose the race with time as it is already late. Wake up readers before you regret your actions of the past. All you have to do is things as simple as switch of lights and fans when not needed, instead of subscribing for daily mails do the same on the digital world. Have your subscriptions there and save paper. Close the water taps when not needed. Use substitutes other than poly bags. All these steps will keep a check on your carbon footprints. Are you all aware that Gandhiji use to write on the back of an used envelope with the motive of not wasting paper. Isn’t that commendable? Shouldn’t we also get inspired and try to protect our planet in every possible way we can and Mahatma Gandhi once said ‘that there is enough for everyone one’s need but not for everyone’s greed‘. Isn’t that true? So put a full stop on your wrong moves and change for the better as this the only way possible that you can display your affection for the planet and the so called ‘mother earth‘ and also think about the future generations, those who are yet to come and yet to live their lives. Why be so selfish? Try and be a little selfless and as it is rightly said that you have borrowed the earth from your children but have not inherited it from our ancestors. So, in all it’s time to go ahead and be the change that you desire to see. Small things when together culminated give us a big and a positive result.

A short and sweet poem by my poet friend for you all after a dose of a long article.
SOON
For their wish to lift the tallest tower;
they will soon step on every little flower!

For their thirst for ironoil ,
they will soon dig up every soil;
and will die up drinking water’s-spoil.

For their wish to know the depth’s of science’s entity
they will soon drown in it’s infinity..
and will yowl for their vanished city!

Friendship: The most confounding and wonderful relation in this world.

Friendship is defined by millions in numerous styles all across the globe. It is the state of being friends; to have a friendly relation, or attachment to a person, or between persons; it is the affection arising from mutual esteem and good will. Aristotle defined ‘friendship as a single soul dwelling in two bodies‘. I feel that this is the finest possible definition of friendship. In my opinion, friendship is a mutual liking we share for one another. Friendship is to take care of someone, feel special with someone and feel as if you are on the ninth sky when you are with that friend. It is the most wonderful feeling that you share with someone. You, me and all of us are in search of a true friend who is just like us. In whom, we can see us. With whom we can experience indefinable happiness, as if god has blessed us with all the possible colours of love and happiness.

One can’t even imagine how overwhelming and amazing that feeling is. I had experienced that very feeling on the night of 4th April, 2012 when I had met a long lost family friend and never did I thought in my wildest of dreams that I would meet someone so admirable and fantastic and that we would become such awesome and close friends. The very experience of meeting him gave me indefinable happiness. The first time we saw each other we were just looking randomly anywhere and everywhere and after wasting those 10 minutes (trust me now I realise how precious were those 10 minutes with him when I was leaving his place) just looking and then suddenly I initiated the conversation with a ‘hi‘. All thanks to my extrovert nature that we finally started talking though sooner I realised that he was equally an extrovert. Then we started our ever lasting talk. It indeed was everlasting if the visit was not restricted to a few hours though I would have loved to talk to him forever. He was that nice. Gradually, as I talked to him more, more and even more, I started to know him a bit and with every sentence I got know him a little more. In general cases, I feel happy to meet someone and to know about that person but in his case I was more than happy and absolutely elated to the core. Oh god, how do I tell you all? How amazing was that feeling? Knowing him was better than knowing myself and please this not an exaggeration. These are my overwhelming feelings that I am trying to express and it actually is difficult to write about such an indefinable experience and such a person whom I like so much. The more we interacted that more I wanted to interact. There was no end to it. He had similar aspirations, similar feelings and thoughts and behaviour. In short, he was me and one of the funniest part was that twice I was staring at him when he used to look here and there with my huge eyes. It was only because I was wondering ‘who the hell is he and how did I find him?’ I was not able to believe my eyes.… it was like a dream come true… and can god really do such miracles, can he really make someone just like you and yes he did, hell wow. I feel so fortunate that I met him and I really wish I would have met him earlier. I just loved the way I was with him and he was with me and we were laughing so much all through out our conversation. I told him the weirdest of things about me and so did he and I was just me with him and after every weird experience we shared we used to laugh together. I told him almost everything about me and hopefully so did he. Another thing, I had figured out was that he was not at all aggressive, I mean the way I can be sometimes. He was acceptable, friendly, good looking, intellectual, loving, compassionate and again the quality which I like the most about him was that ‘he was me’ and what not. He was almost perfect and our assumptions about each other was so wrong. As he was two years older to me I had an altogether different set of assumptions about him and he also had a hilarious assumption about me. You know readers after reading this what will he say. ‘ Now this too much..‘ but believe you me it is still less. His name is Vedant and I feel blessed that I know him and have a friend like him for all my life now. He gifted me with the best 3 hours of my life and I wish they would never have ended. I want that we have more of those days together and somewhere I feel that my eagerness to go to Dehra Dun was because I had to meet him and that was again the best part of my visit to that small place. Reader’s, somewhere you all search for someone this true and this special. I hope that you all find a friend as honest as I did. Friends are born, not made. I understood that after my meeting with him. So, those who have such a friend always regard these rare diamonds in your lives and treasure them because it is very difficult to find someone of this kind and those who don’t, just have patience because sooner or later he/ she has to come.

Here is a short but an amazing poem by my poet friend .
Heart of a friend

A heart of a friend – like a candle
Flashing rays of hope in the darkest scandal
Swinging with the elated whirling air,
And melting with the scorching heat of thy despair!

A heart of a friend – like a mirror
I can see myself there.
True, Similar and Fair!

And I have such a friend too ,
and if you will ask me’ who? ‘
I will reply ‘You’!

The 10 things I want to do in my life before I die?

Nature has given us life as one of our most valued gifts ever. We all are unaware as to why nature gave us life or for what purpose are we here on this so called surface of earth and we just always should live with the idea that we are here to live our life to the fullest but as we grow we gradually loose the kind of innocence we were born with and with time gradually forget the authentic way of living life. We gradually loose ourselves in the blur of life and it’s so upsetting how we fail to remember that how we want to live in our lives and what we desire to do in our lives because we are so captivated by the circumstances in our much complex lives and so confused with the happenings in our lives that we are always tensed, fearful and perplexed and get swallowed by the happenings in our lives and are so engaged in dealing with our dilemma’s that we stop living for ourselves but we start living for the world that the circumstances created for us. For once just put this question to yourself that “What I am doing is justice to the one who gave me this life and more than anything else to myself“? No, it indeed is not. We all have one life to live which just seem to be very long but unfortunately it’s not. We should try to realize the fact that life is not so hopeless and uneventful and monotonous the way we perceive it to be. Reader’s, just for once vow to yourself that you will live for yourself, love for yourself and do what makes you happy and gives you pleasure and that you will not live for the world and do things to please the world and the people in this world because they are never satisfied with anything you have and anything you do. They always have some complaints. So therefore, live for yourself as you won’t be given that chance again and also if you are true to this world and to yourselves and love everyone with purity and unconditionally then you will keep receiving that love in some or the other form all along your life maybe not from everyone but definitely from some. You will enjoy that love all along your life because it will be true, transparent and very beautiful. Ask to yourself what are the things you want to do in your life before your last breath? And come up with things that give you pleasure and through which you receive undefinable exuberance. I did the same and here the things I want to do in my life:

1.I want to travel the world and enjoy the culture of each and every country I visit and would also love to know the  people of that country in particular.

2.I want a big house of my own; interior decorated by me.

3.I want to love someone completely and unconditionally all my life.

4.I would love to bring amends in the lives of people I know through the power, knowledge and means nature blesses me with.

5.I never want to harm or hurt anybody even if a person does that to me. I always want to love and respect everyone irrespective of who they are and what they have. On the other hand, I would always fight the wrong and the wrong-doer and I will fight for my rights and if possible for other people’s rights also.

6.I would to love write an autobiography of myself and many more books as well touching various issues and genres.

7.I would love to enjoy my life with my loved ones.

8.I want to be a knowledgeable and a well read person. In addition, I would want to study in the Cambridge University in England.

9.I would love to enjoy all kind of cuisines, listen to all genres of music and learn about novel things everyday in my life.

  1. 10.Lastly, I would want to take care of my loved ones’ and always give more priority to my family than my work no matter which profession I pursue. In addition, make sure that I am blessed and my family is blessed with a safe and a happy life. Also, I will see to it that I stay young always irrespective of my age and never loose that enthusiasm that will always give me the eagerness to live life.

On a final note, the ball is and was in your court from always. It’s time you comprehend that and ask  yourself what are things I want to do in my life before I die? Begin thinking now before it’s too late. A man sooner or later discovers that he is the master-gardener of his soul, the director of his life. So, learn to live and live to learn now and forever. Stay blessed and watch out for my next post.

What If I was a bird ?

They say that only once in a million lives do we get a chance to become a human being after doing great and good deeds (Hindu & Buddhist belief!!). But then the question arises here is that: Is human life so significant and important? Is it really worth all those good deeds we do in accordance to the saying above? Perhaps, it is. But, there are tendencies where many might just disagree with the saying. Somewhere I also disagree, my dear readers. I don’t say that life is something that we get everyday. We live once and die once. It is something you get after good deeds and karma. Human life is possibly the best form of life any living being can ask for as you get a chance to make your mark across the world, to establish your own identity and bequeath something to this world and make your existence worth it. As it was rightly said, that when we are born only we cry and your deeds should be so powerful and for the good of the humanity that when you die the world should cry.

Life is an amalgam, of good as well as the bad times and sometimes there are things beyond our control, beyond our reach. That is why we say life changes in a blink of an eye. In other words, it is complicated. We come across days of failure, darkness and unhappiness but life also gives us a chance to revert back to our normal position and improve through times of struggle and hard work. Failures make us strong and hardens us and makes us weak and fearful but it can also soften us. It has the ability to make us more sensitive, sensible and wise for a better future. My dear readers, as I mentioned before we also get a chance to improve and revert back and turn to the brighter side of things. Where there is happiness, love and success and everything is absolutely in your favour. Everyone has their share of losses and profits, success and failures, happiness and pain. Life is full of complications. It indeed is difficult to live life. It is like a people’s government where somethings can be done by us and some not but we live no matter through what kind of circumstances and fate we have to go through. As far as my experience is concerned, man can possibly survive in the most difficult of situations but just for once forget all these complications, for once forget what is life and how it is to be lived. Just for once do some brain-storming and think. Why am I so caged when I was born so free? Why am I tolerating all these happenings that gives me agony? Why am I so abashed or apprehensive? Why am I really stopping myself from living my life completely? For once think: ‘What If I was a bird‘?

I personally feel a bird is one of the luckiest living creatures I could possibly think of. Nature has given birds all the freedom in the universe, no one’s there to stop and bother them and it can do anything that pleases it. It is not caged unlike the way we are by our society and the people in our society. It has the world for itself. It can travel freely  wherever it desires to and there are indeed no borders for the birds in the way the world has made for us. Don’t you envy this angelic creation of nature? Do we have a life of this sort. Indeed not. Don’t  you want one like this? It is unfeasible to become a bird but can’t we make our life like a bird. The only way to do so is to take some inspiration from this creature and then there will be a point in your life where you will feel life can’t be any better than this. This might become the oomph factor of your existence. Learn its flight and lastly live as freely as a bird or try to make that bird alive in you. Our demise is inevitable so why not just live the way we please to! Take an oath that you will fulfill your dreams and visions, live your life to the fullest and bestow love to others and show instances of compassion and kindness always for the people in your ambience irrespective of where you are and finally live and let live. Stay elated and make sure that you always feel blessed for every second that you live for that second is never going to return.

Sports the elixir of life………

A group of physical pursuits are referred to as Sports. Sports is of miscellaneous kinds. It includes activities like football, cricket, hockey, volleyball, rugby or polo. All have their set of rules and nature of participation for the contenders. They are all distinctive and unique in their own right. Passion of many and loved by many indeed sports enjoys immense popularity amongst the teeming millions. We play with our cousins, family and friends. We see many enthusiastic young people playing various sports on the streets and inside our homes as we have outdoors as well as indoor sports. Sports has the ability to keep us away from our typical unhealthy sedentary lifestyle which consists of computers, laptops and television, I –pods and I- pads. Sedentary lifestyle is indeed hazardous to health as it slows down metabolism, leads to excessive gaining of weight and makes us vulnerable and susceptible to many diseases and because of such a lifestyle where all people do is to sit and eat all day they have fat bellies and become obese individuals. No political figure such as First Lady ‘ Michelle Obama’ can do anything, if the people are not aware and are not ready to take an initiative. So, we should indulge in a lot of physical activities and sports. Is sports only a stress buster and just a way to get rid of a sedentary lifestyle? Sports has an altogether different face to it if you think in a little more out of the box way or if put in better words: Look at it from a different angle and from a much wider horizon and just for once think can sports be a religion or is it already one? Sports enjoys a fan following of millions and zillions. I would have mentioned a greater figure, if I would have known any. The best example for this face cannot be any better than cricket. Cricket enjoys an enormous fan following of billions and is loved by many. Envisage a stadium of millions from all walks of life just looking at that one ground with the most watchful eyes and all colours of emotions. The lot sitting there is more emotionally charged by the match even more than the recitation of their countries respective national anthems. It is very evident from the after effect of a match. The kind of extreme feelings we get to see is so terrific. If a country wins the jumping, dancing, cheering and then the showering of love by the countrymen can bring tears in anybody’s eyes. Their happiness is so immense as if they were playing the match. The team which faces the defeat also faces just the opposite reaction with tears, expressions, pain and unhappiness and the players of that team are critically analysed. Such sights are so emotionally driven that it can charge anybody in the same manner.

Sports has many more facets to it. It is the only religion that possibly brings people closer and closer and improves the bond in general between two people, two or more people or even countries. Indeed it brings two countries closer which includes the dignitaries, spectators and even the players after a good healthy match. Sports has been gifted by nature with all the colours of love, happiness, sadness, enthusiasm, courage and patriotism and power……….

Should the digital world be censored?

The accelerated world of instant knowledge, access to multifarious sites and sources. A source which has the ability to send mails, faxes and messages in a blink of an eye. A source due to which the old medias of commutation lost it’s much gained importance. Now, everyone wants time saving mechanisms. Internet yes that is it! That’s the word. Bingo reader’s you got it just right if you were thinking this. It is in itself so mighty and powerful that it has managed making this huge world into a one really small global village indeed. We are just a hello or a howdy away from each other through Skype and FB chats not miles and miles away from each other the way we actually are. Thanks to the internet revolution around that life has become more gorgeous with those gadgets and less complex and ambiguous because it has made us get rid of those pigeons but reader’s now I am going to share something with you which is already known to all of you. Reader’s everything has two folds to it. Nothing is perfectly good or bad. Similarly, so is the digital world. It is not perfection personified. It has it’s disadvantages for which it is being cursed and points of appreciation which makes it so popular. I would like to discuss some of them with you all. The greatest benefit of internet includes communication. Creation of Internet happened for advancement in communication, lucid access to internet for information, for entertainment and lastly a few needed services and trade. The most important target of internet was ‘communication’ as I have mentioned before my wise reader’s and the digital world has done outstandingly well in that section and with time greater and better innovations are bound to happen. By the advent of Internet, our earth has reduced and has attained the form of a global village. Communication has become easier due to facilities such as chat and there various messenger services provided by yahoo, Gmail. In addition, information is another big advantage the internet has to its cap of many feathers. Internet is the ‘Man who knows almost anything and everything ‘. Indeed internet is a treasure trove of information. It has information about each and everything and we can access them through search engines such as Yahoo and Google. Almost every coming day, researches on numerous issues becomes much easier to locate. Numerous web sites available on the net are offering loads of information for people to research diseases and talk to doctors online at sites such as, America’s Doctor. For instance, During 2011 over 200 million people reported going online to retrieve health information. Entertainment is another popular raison d’être why many people prefer to surf the Internet. People search about film stars and updates and news about them and about movies, music and various other things. Internet has become quite successful in trapping the multifaceted growing entertainment industry. One cannot even think about online life without the social network. It might be the Facebook or MySpace. It connects us to people with similar views and horizons and we can meet our long lost friends and stay in touch with those staying at a distant place from us. Internet also is a backbone for E-commerce activities such as business deals, shopping and trade etc. Now, let us discuss the opposite face of it. It’s adversities. It leads to spamming which are unwanted e-mails. It is very irritating and bothering for the online user. Bigger disadvantages include pornography i.e. access to undesirable photos, videos and other X – rated stuff. It affects the mental state of the child and can create a mess in adults marital life etc. Kudos, to internet now people only interact on the social networking sites which leads to social disconnect. Many more people are becoming more and more isolated and developing an addiction for virtuality and the digital world which is a very alarming sign as it hampers or kills one’s social skills and gradually makes them socially unstable. Theft of personal information and lastly the deadly health concerns such as eye sight problems, cancer of various sorts are a part of it’s long list of adversities. So will it be of any help if the internet is censored?

Advantages are so many of the digital world which we should keep on improving and working upon but the disadvantages are many more which again should be fought with. Censorship is to keep a legal check on the unwanted activities in the society. But is that the only way get out of these set of problems. A disoriented brain will find a way out to indulge in these socially unacceptable pursuits. The solution is ‘US’ and not putting a ban on these things. In the previous days there have been instances where government involvement was there. Where it was wanting to remove inappropriate content from their websites. Will that really help from stopping those users who seek such information. No, it won’t. There has to be a sense of control which has to be constantly regulated and maintained. Internet is only for the right usage and for benefits and not for doing all sorts of things which a mentally disoriented person does. Use it for your benefits and for the good. Then we will not need these things like Sopa and Pipa, i.e. the stop online piracy act which is a US based bill which was so much against social networks such as Facebook.

Have a broad vision to understand the difference between the socially non acceptable and the socially acceptable content. ‘The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.’ In a nut shell, enjoy surfing and use the internet for your benefits and for all the positive reasons.

In fact, the lyrics of the song ‘imagine’ by John Lennon…..

Imagine there’s no heaven

It’s easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us only sky

Imagine all the people

Living for today…

Imagine there’s no country

It isn’t hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people

Living life in peace…

Should be prescribed anthem for all the people of this world………

TITLE:Confused Digitally ? After a dose of an article here’s a poem for you . Enjoy reading it 🙂

The world that stood on assiduous human arms ,
and was dragged by it’s muscular charm
is now being driven and disposed just by 0’s and 1’s .

I was born digitally, live electrically and may die the same way ,
but my grandfather was born in archaic ways in those ancient days .
Thus I often argue against his analog world, admiring my own say.

I speak:
Dear grandfather, your clock may echo every precious second
but my digital watch, point every micro, milli and mini second.
You turn through the pages of newspaper with your four fingers
I slide through all the world around me with just the tip of my fore-finger.
You still put all your letters in boxes marked red or green
and look for a reply by the next fortnight routine ,
but I am much ahead
for my words are posted as soon as I have said
and a reply too comes before I have reached my bed.
You still stand in tall and tardy queues
but my dues of power or phone are digitally through.
You are left alone when thy dearly is at a far away place
but digitally, I talk with distinct friends face to face .

As I continued my words of praise
came the voices of opposing phrase
from my forefather’s room
that said ” digitally the world isn’t a boon.

He speaks:
I may be old and ill at this stage
but by the time you will reach my age
you will be diseased both by digital and physical virus.
Your may provide cure to such every disease
but place I lived in offered prevention ease
( and as far as I know ” prevention is better than cure ” )
You call them buddies that you ” add friend ” with a click
but I build the homes of friendship with a thick brick of love .
And even if you have locked your doors, windows, walls and halls
someone still peeps into your life through that digital Facebook wall.
In recent years , I also have learnt your digital language
and on whole when I see you world , I often sarcastically say ” lol ” !

Now as I hear what my forefather has said,
and recollect impression of my head
I am confusingly dead 😦 [:(]
Tell me dear readers,
analog or digital which way should I move ahead.

There is no significance of boundaries in our lives..

quote-wallpaper23_widescreen

What are these boundaries? Who created these boundaries? Who created these limits for us? Man is born free but why is he caged everywhere and why he is surrounded by rules and why does he fear people and society? For what are these religions there and what are they for they are just leading to destruction and pain? Why has the world been divided? Did nature want that? Nature created one beautiful world but it went wrong at one place, it gave a brain to man which can be manipulated for doing the bad as well as the good. What benefit are these boundaries of? We all realise the fact that these boundaries have been created through blood sheds, tears and a great legacy and history but what are these for in the present era. Seeing the present scenario I find these boundaries worthless. In fact it shouldn’t be there for multifarious reasons such as they nurture a feeling in the people around that ‘Oh hell… Of course we are different.. Come on we look different, speak differently and more than that we have a different so called ‘nationality’. Strange as that is. Reader’s possibly all of us are literate enough to understand why we look different or speak differently. It certainly is due to geographical variations but why do certain people around show gestures of illiteracy by killing or abusing people because they have a different look and a different complexion and features. It might be the Blacks, Asians or the Tibetans’. They are all helpless sufferers. The term helpless has been used because things like complexion are not of self control and it is to be understood that a sense of respect and care has to be shown towards everybody around regardless of colour, religion or creed as well as caste.

Another very sensitive and important issue which I will quote is ‘The belongingness of a person to a particular religion‘. Highly absurd but true and has been happening around the world. It is true that the world has become more aware, liberal and people care for each other and are very much compassionate but we have a long way to go to get over with these boundaries and change ourselves a little for a better tomorrow, for a more harmonious world which is the need of the hour. Broaden your visions and think differently and as Robert Green Ingersoll said Cruelty hardens and degrades Kindness reforms and ennobles. Let’s fight the absurdity of boundaries and its consequent political and social disabilities as a one single community.

In fact, the lyrics of the song ‘imagine’ by John Lennon…..

Imagine there’s no heaven

It’s easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us only sky

Imagine all the people

Living for today…

Imagine there’s no country

It isn’t hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people

Living life in peace…

Should be prescribed anthem for all the people of this world………

The unrecognised importance of parents in our lives… …

They say god could not be present everywhere so he had sent mothers for the children of this world but reader’s I feel that there should be an amendment here: God not only blessed us with mothers but fathers too. In other words, parents. Parents are those people who give us an identity, make us capable enough by nurturing us both professionally and personally so that our existence is recognised by other inhabitants of this wide world as a good human being as well as a good citizen of not only our country but the world at large, they make us feel blessed, loved and secured in every possible way. They are our biggest well wishers and are always there for us during all our adversities even if the world does not supports us. Nobody can love us more than them and they are the only set of people who will accept us in any form, position and situation. Parents of today’s generation might not be able express their love for their children so freely and flexibly perhaps because they don’t get a chance to, however their love is unimaginably unconditional and immeasurable for their kids but why do kids take them for granted and make claims on them, lie to them and many a times hurt them and don’t listen to the right things their parents tell them? In addition, why do they feel that they are there biggest ill – wishers whereas it’s just the opposite? Isn’t that quite strange? Children are becoming more ignorant and less compassionate towards their parents. There are a multitudes of reasons which includes peer pressure , influence from the ambience in school and friends , influence from television and computers and also the children’s ignorance and there inability to make distinctions between the wrong and the right and judge who’s company is good for them and who’s is not. As a result, they indulge in unethical as well as unacceptable things like drugs, smoking, drinking and late night parties and all kinds of wrong and socially unacceptable things. Resultant, they become aggressive, rowdy, get vulnerable to life threatening diseases and get deviated from their academics which includes career etc; more than anything else they harm, ruin or destroy nobody but themselves the most by indulging in such wrong things. Life becomes upset with us and later we repent about our doings and that why didn’t we listen to our parents, then the question arises why give life a chance to be upset with us? In order to make the prior statement happen we should do the following: Listen to the advice of our parents, respect them and love them equally and unconditionally. Friends might back out at some point of time but parents will never back out and they can do possibly anything just to protect us and they will stand beside us during our worst of phases which come in our lives. We hence should value them and they our most cherished and lovable possession. A parent’s love is whole no matter how many times divided. So feel blessed and always try to give happiness to you parents in whatever way you can and finally, stay blessed.
